For a little friend up North...
This is a Fancy Shawl outfit I made for a little 5 year old girl in Canada. She requested hearts, butterflies and horses, and purple and pink! I think it turned out cute!
I used "Special Occasion" fabrics--similar to satin, so the sheen is great. The pink and white fabrics are coated with a cute Glitter and so it's extra sparkly...Perfect for a little girl! The skirt has an elastic waist for comfort, and will also allow for some growth. The Vest/Cape combo ties in the back also allowing for extra wear as this little girl grows. Ribbon hair clips made to match...
I used a Butterfly brocade fabric for the shawl...I think it will wear well, and is not too heavy for those little arms.
All designs were applied using appliqué, and then machine-stitched in place.
